Secretary Report for Sept. 7, 2004

Opening: President Rausa called the meeting to order promptly at 7:00pm; introductions were made as we once again had new members attending. Quorum present. Minutes from the August 3, 2004 meeting were approved.

Treasurer: Henry McQueen—Finances good.

Membership: Curt Stauffer explained that the current numbers from PCA National are not available due to their computer crashing and not being back on-line yet. He is estimating that our membership is about 417 at this time.

Newsletter Report/Website: Don Hollway—Everything going well.

Tech: Scott Hoaglund—events will be published in the Sprecher; check times and places..

Autocross: Check the website for details for events.

Swap Meet: Steve Baun—The Swap Meet Worker’s Party held at the Giant Center was a great success.
Maybe plan for an event the evening of the Swap Meet at the Giant Center; buffet/cash bar, dance floor, maybe a “speaker” and Porsches all around for viewing.
Vendors are already contacting Steve for the 2005 Porsche Parade in Hershey for the Swap Meet there.

Golf Outing: Jerry Reinhardt—expecting good weather and a good turnout for event on Sat.

Crab Feast: Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 at Liederkranz picnic area, Salunga, PA . This event will be catered. $20.00 per person—check website for more details.

Vice President: Curt Stauffer—Chairperson needed for organizing a 5K Run for the 2005 Porsche Parade. If interested call Curt.

Other Business: Region of the Year—A scrapbook was passed around from 1995 as an example of what was done when the Club won the award that year. President Joe said a decision must be made at the October Board meeting if the Club is going to enter this event again. The scrapbook must be completed and submitted by May 5, 2005. Any volunteers to help, please call Joe.
