Secretary Report for July 5, 2005

Opening: The July meeting was called to order by President Curt Stauffer. A motion to approve the June minutes was made by Curt and seconded by Henry McQueen. The Board approved.

Treasurer: Henry McQueen—Expenses for the April Swap Meet are paid. The Parade Swap Meet made approximately $11,000. Central PA Region sold t-shirts, mugs, etc. and registered some vendors for the 2006 Swap Meet. The new software is installed for the Treasurer position. A volunteer is needed for this position starting in 2007. Contact Henry if interested in details.

Membership: Jerry Reinhardt—Curt reported in Jerry’s absence. Total membership as of 6/2/05 was 402. Some discussion as to how to remind members to renew their membership promptly. Postcards (bright colors) may be sent as reminders.

Newsletter Report/Website: Don Hollway—check newsletter and website for all upcoming events. Don also checking on the cost of postcards, printing, and mailing as reminders to membership.

Social: Ed Eisenhart, Al Peinhardt, and Jerry Trone—Crab Feast, Sunday, October 9, 2005.

Tech: Scott Hoaglund—Curt reported on Scott’s absence. Tech session to be held on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 at the Gilbert residence. Dinner on your own at a nearby restaurant following event. More details forthcoming. RSVP to Scott.

Autocross: Mark Bolt—absent; may be considering a Fall night event.

Old business: A “Thank You” to Kerri Reinhardt for all the time and work putting the scrapbook together to enter in the Region of the Year event at the Parade.
And “Thanks” go to Rick Weimer of HERCO for coordinating all the events for the Central PA Region.

New business: A volunteer has stepped forward for next year to be the Safety Chair.
Hershey Hill Climb: May 6 - 7, 2006 will feature Porsches.

Next meeting: August 2, 2005 at Liederkranz, 6:30pm for social, meeting at 7:00pm.
