Secretary Report for May 3, 2005

Opening: President Curt Stauffer called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone. New members and guests were introduced. Curt made a motion to accept the April 5, 2005 minutes as written and Don Hollway seconded. The Board approved.

Treasurer: Henry McQueen—Treasury good; email Henry for a full budget report if interested.

Membership: Jerry Reinhardt—Curt reported in Jerry’s absence; numbers from National still in the high 390's.

Newsletter Report/Website: The CPA der Sprecher has been entered in the 2005 Parade Newsletter of the Year contest. We’ll know results at the Hershey Parade in June.

Social: Ed Eisenhart, Al Peinhardt, and Jerry Trone—mark your calendars with these dates:
Sun. May 15, 2005 - “Porsches at Pimlico”
Sat. June 25 - Sat. July 2, 2005 - 2005 Porsche Parade at Hershey
Sat. Oct. 1, 2005 Perry County Bridge Tour; rain date Sun., Oct. 2, 2005
Sun. Oct. 9, 2005 Crab Feast at Liederkranz
Sat. Dec., 17, 2005 Holiday Party at Media Heights Country Club, Lancaster

Tech: Scott Hoaglund—Check website for events.

Autocross: Mark Bolt—Everyone liked the new classes for the events; awards for 1st thru 3rd place winners.

Swap Meet: Steve Baun—Steve Baun said the event went well even though the weather didn’t cooperate. It was rainy, cloudy, damp and dreary. Attendance was low all day which effected the financial numbers. He mentioned some vendors did well, others not good at all. Volunteers were Great!!!
Some changes are planned for next years event in the way of safety measures and more signage throughout the area. Swap volunteer party date TBA.
The Parade Swap to be held on Sat., June 25, 2005 at Hershey needs volunteers; so call Steve or Curt if interested. Vendors are already signing up and advertising will be in the car magazines in June. T-shirts and mugs will be sold at the Parade Swap by CPA.
$1,060 was collected at the gate on Swap day as a donation to the Four Diamonds Fund toward their pediatric cancer pavilion to be built next year. This will be presented to them.

Other business: Thanks to Kerri Reinhardt for assembling the scrapbook of events of the club for 2004. This will be entered in the Parade contest.

Next meeting: June 7, 2005 at Liederkranz, 6:30pm for social, meeting at 7:00pm.
