Secretary Report for April 6, 2004

Opening: President Rausa called the meeting to order about 7 PM and welcomed everyone. We had some guests in attendance along with 16 Board members, Committee chairmen, and Directors.
Joe mentioned that Translog, owned and operated by Gary Wigglesworth, Sr., in York, is having an auction on Fri., April 23, 2004 at the York location due to the closing of the business.
Henry McQueen moved to accept the March 2, 2004 minutes and Bill Hapke seconded. Minutes approved.
Treasurer: Henry McQueen says Swap expenses are good so far.
Membership: Curt Stauffer reported 14 new members have joined PCA - total for year 366. Jerry Reinhardt is working on inviting new members to attend a Board meeting.

Newsletter Report/Website: Don Hollway announced a new sponsorFosters Automotive, Mechanicsburg. Lots of action on the website. News for the Swap meet updated on the web.
Tech: A tire tech session will be held Sat., April 10th at Sun Motors - 10:00am.
Autocross: Volunteers are needed to help with the autocross event on Sun., April 25th at Hershey.
Joe is checking the Lancaster Training Center as a possible autocross location.
Drivers Ed: Niagara Regions event at Watkins Glen Memorial Day weekend is filling up-13 CPAers are registered so far. Call Steve if interested.
Swap Meet: Steve Baun reported things are on schedule for the event April 24, 2004 at Hershey. Remind volunteers how important their job is to make everything flow smoothly. T-shirts are done. 305 vendors paid to date with more expected the day of event. An ATM machine is located at Chocolate World; no other banking facilities available. Hoping for good weather!
Vice President: Curt Stauffer updated everyone on the 2005 Parade activities. A meeting was held at the Hershey Lodge, Sat., March 27, 2004 with the Co-Chairmen, Bob and Manny, and all the committee chairs. Lots of information and details to be worked out. Attendance at the Parade is expected to be about 800 - 1200 for the week long activities.
New Business: Lois Kriens is the Nominating Chairman. She asked Board members and Directors if they were interested in serving the club for 2005. Response was good. The general membership can also nominate anyone in the fall for an election in November.
Carl Thompson, Delaware Region, who is Local Sponsorship Chair for the Parade, gave a brief overview of who might be a sponsor for the 2005 Porsche Parade. Give him suggestions if you have any and he will pursue them.
Next meeting:Next meeting is May 4, 2004 at Leiderkranz, 6:30pm for social, meeting at 7:00pm.
