Secretary Report for March 2, 2004

Opening: The monthly meeting of the Central Pennsylvania Porsche Club was called to order by President Joe Rausa. A quorum was present. The February 10, 2004 minutes were approved.

Treasurer: Henry McQueen reviewed the February budget. Things going well.

Membership: Curt Stauffer reported no current membership numbers available for March; he will include info in the April report. Jerry Reinhardt will also co-chair the Membership Committee.
Curt mentioned a new member event may be to invite them to attend a PCA Board meeting.
A SOCIAL CHAIRMAN IS ALSO NEEDED!!! Golf outing is set for Sat., Sept. 11, 2004; more details later. Jerry Reinhardt is chair.
Crab Feast scheduled for Sun. Oct. 3, 2004 at Liederkranz. Bill Hapke and Ed Eisenhart will coordinate this event with the staff. Outside picnic facilities will be used.


Newsletter Report/Website: Don Hollway reported everything going well. Newsletter deadline is March 9, 2004.

Tech: Joe reported in Scott Hoaglund's absence. Reminded everyone about the driver ed session Sat., March 13, 2004 at The Gathering Place, Mt. Joy.

Autocross: No Report

Driver’s Ed: Event at Watkins Glen, Memorial Day weekend filling up. Call Steve if interested.

Swap Meet: Vendors are responding well for this event at Hershey, Sat., April 24, 2004. Steve and Jim Renner working on design for T-shirt for event. Volunteers are still needed. Swap Committee meeting Sun., March 21, 2004 at the Harrisburg Marriott.

Vice President: Curt Stauffer introduced Manny Alban, our Zone 2 Rep, who gave an update for the 2005 50th Porsche Parade in Hershey. Our region is well organized for this event; volunteers still needed.
Manny also talked about insurance/liability for club events.
The President's meeting will be held on Sun., March 28, 2004 at the Hershey Lodge.

New Business: Lois Kriens is the Nominating Chairman. If you know of anyone who would like to be nominated for an office for next year please notify her.

Next meeting:Next meeting is April 6, 2004 at Leiderkranz, 6:30pm for social, meeting at 7:00pm.
