Secretary Report for December 6, 2005

Opening: The meeting was called to order by President Curt Stauffer at 7:00 pm. Barb Taggert motioned and Joe Rausa seconded to approve the minutes from the November 1, 2005 Board meeting. The Board approved.
Bob Purgason will have new name badges for those who ordered them at the Holiday Party. Joe Rausa presented the election results for the 2006 Board and Directors. President—Steve Baun. Vice President—Henry McQueen. Treasurer—Barb Taggart. Secretary—Eric Wahlberg. Directors—Al Peinhardt, Jerry Trone, John Witmer and Don Hendrickson.

Treasurer: Henry McQueen reported that the treasury is up $4,700.00 from 2004 and our cash flow was +$9,700.00. The year will end in the black with our highest balance ever. Some of this was due to a profitable autocross series. Contact Henry if you would like a more detailed account.

Membership: Rick Geiner reported that we have eleven new members for a new total of 407 per PCA Headquarters. This is the highest membership Central PA Region has ever had.

Newsletter Report/Website: Don Hollway will have the election results in the January issue. The deadline for articles and submissions is December 13.

Social: Al Peinhardt, Jerry Trone and Ed Eisenhart reported that the plans for the Holiday Party are set and that there will be special recognition of CPA ’s 40th anniversary. To date there are 75 reservations. Reservations are due by December 12.

Tech: Scott Hoaglund was absent. Jon Yetter will be Tech Chair for 2006 and reported that there will be a presentation in February or March on safety equipment for track events. This will be held at Sun Motor Cars. He is also working on a club visit to see Don Meluzio ’s car collection, probably in February.

Autocross: Mark Bolt is working with Steve Baun who is working with Herco to confirm dates for 2006. Mark also inquired if CPA can get a separate date for a non-competitive Driver Education event in addition to the autocross dates. Steve Baun said that it may be possible to have the autocross in the morning and driver ’s ed in the afternoon. Dave Whitney may become the Autocross Chair.

Old business:The Hershey Vintage Hillclimb is May 6-7, 2006 and Porsche is the featured marque. May 7 conflicts with the Porsches at Pimlico event. Henry McQueen, John Witmer and Joe Rausa will be the Hershey Vintage Hillclimb Task Force for the 2006 event.

Next meeting: January 3, 2006 at Liederkranz, 6:30pm for social, meeting at 7:00pm.
