Secretary Report for December 2, 2003 Deb Conn , Secretary
The meeting was called to order by the President at approximately 7:00PM.
It was determined that sufficient representation of the executive board was present for a quorum for voting on issues raised.
Opening: The monthly meeting of the Central Pennsylvania Porsche Club was called to order by President Lois Kriens at 7:05 PM. A quorum was present. The minutes of the September, October, and November meetings were approved. Deb Conn was asked to take tonights minutes in the absence of Andy Slusar.
Treasurer: Henry McQueen reported that all the bills from Hershey for the year have been paid and we have a positive cash flow to date. The Sprecher cost doubled since going to the every month schedule. Henry mentioned that committee budgets are due and if the committee chair does not submit something, then he and President-elect Joe Rausa will decide on the committee budgets for next year.
Nominating: President Kriens read the results of the ballots for the election for 2004:

Membership: Curt Stauffer reported the membership count remains the same as last month at 335. He is looking for a volunteer to assume the Membership Chairman position for next year.
Social : Ed Kriens noted plans are finalized for the Holiday Party to be held Fri., Dec. 19th at the West Shore Country Club. To date there are 61 reservations. CPA Porsche Club mugs will be given as favors to those attending.
Newsletter Report/ Website: Don and Henry said all ads are paid and the website is profitable.
Tech: Scott said the Feb 7 session at Air Cooled Racing in Wellsville is on. He is working on other events.
Autocross: Discussion on event charge - It was agreed that the charge for non-Porsche club entrants would be $30.00. Also, only PCA members can pre-register for events - ideal limit 50 cars; others can register day of event if space is available. We need to train more members to use our timing equipment .
Drivers Ed: Steve Baun talked about new websites offering track events but noted none are as cheap as PCA events.
Swap Meet: Steve said the Swap Meet ads were mailed to Excellence and Panorama magazines. Flyer due in Jan. 2004. Traffic flow at Hershey site was discussed; everyone agrees that it is a mess. Improvements need to be done for next year. Hershey is aware of the problem but we will need more volunteers or paid Boy Scouts to help with traffic / crowd control. The CPA Club will be doing a second Swap Meet in 2005 for the Porsche Parade at the Giant Center in Hershey. The date is not set.
Unfinished Business: Donations to PAI from Polo event - Issue was tabled. Bill Hapke said he made stencils & marked all the clubs autocross equipment.
New Business: President Kriens stated that the 2005 Porsche Parade will be held June 25 thru July 2, 2005 at Hershey. The Hershey Lodge will be headquarters. Concours will he held on the golf course behind the Hotel Hershey. Lois is the Banquet Chair for the Parade.
President-elect Joe Rausa thanked Lois for all her work throughout the year.
Joe announced that beginning in January 2004, the board minutes will be e-mailed to all board members and committee chairs prior to the next meeting to save meeting time by eliminating reading them. Two new meeting location options were discussed; Leiderkrantz Club in Ephrata which offers a smoke-free room for $40.00 per meeting, and Autohaus/Lancaster, free. Joe decided that the January 6, 2004 Board meeting will be held at Leiderkrantz - 6:30pm for social/& or dinner and meeting at 7:00pm.
