Opening: President Henry McQueen called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. All that attended shared a round of introductions.

Linda Horstick determined that a quorum was present.

Minutes: Barb Taggart made a motion to accept the minutes from the October 2, 2007, meeting. Steve Baun seconded the motion and the board approved.

Treasurer: Barb Taggart shared a written statement of the financial activities. She will be sending budget statements to all chairmen to prepare for 2008. Steve Limbert motioned to accept the treasurer’s report. Rick Geiner seconded the motion. The board approved.

Membership: Rick Geiner shared the monthly statistics. Our current total is 394 members.

Website/Newsletter: Don Hollway reported that he is preparing articles for the upcoming issue and will make corrections to the holiday party announcement. Material for the December newsletter should be forwarded to Don by Tuesday, November 13.

Social: Al Peinhardt shared that preparations for the holiday party are on schedule. The menu and program will be similar to the 2006 affair.

The Antique Automobile Museum in Hershey is being considered as the venue for the 2008 Holiday Party. Barb Taggart made a motion to allocate up to $250 to allow Steve Limbert to reserve a date. The motion was seconded by Don Hollway. The board approved.

Tech: Jon Yetter said that Chad Block of CBRD Speedfactory was pleased with the attendance and interest in the recent tech session that was held at his facility. Attendees received cards of thanks from Chad, and he has extended an invitation to us to hold a future session at his place. $325 of the proceeds will be donated to the Four Diamonds Fund.

Chris Dyson Racing in Connecticut would also like to host a tech session for our group. Jon asked for additional suggestions for future tech sessions.

The web store will be offering a 10% discount through the holiday shopping season. Details can be found in the newsletter. Steve Limbert shared his objection to the latest web store ad photo in the newsletter. Several others supported his opinion and changes will be made.

Safety: Paul Hess attended but had nothing new to share.

Autocross: Deny Gilbert shared that a successful autocross season has ended. He will be announcing this year’s winning driver at the holiday party.

Ken Taggart suggested that we establish a more specific policy for bringing guest participants to the events. He also presented the idea of having a trophy for the fastest Porsche of the day. Jon Yetter stated that he would like to see another night autocross on the schedule.

The batteries will be pulled from the radios for the winter. Rick Geiner made a motion to allocate up to $50 for the purchase of wheel covers and bungies for the trailer. Deny Gilbert seconded the motion and the board approved.

Driver Education: Justin Fried was absent from the meeting and had no report.

Swap Meet: Steve Baun attended the meeting but had no new info at this time.

Region Events Planning Manual: John Witmer said that he has most of the guides. A suggestion was made to divide the swap meet guide into several areas to make its development more manageable.

Member of the Year Nominations: Henry received a few suggestions for the George Heide award. He asked the attendees to forward their thoughts to him.

Vice-President: Eric Wahlberg attended the meeting but had no additional comments.

Old Business: Al Peinhardt suggested that event chairpersons receive complimentary admission to their affairs. The discussion of additional yearly member awards was tabled until Jerry Trone is able to speak.

New Business: There was a discussion about the expenses for meetings. Barb will be discussing arrangements and billing details with Sue from the Liederkranz.

Next Meeting: Tuesday December 4, 2007, at the Lancaster Liederkranz, 6:30 PM for social, and meeting at 7:00 PM. All members are welcome to attend these meetings.
