Secretary Report for January 4, 2005

Opening: President Curt Stauffer called the meeting to order at 7:04pm and welcomed everyone. The Dec. 2004 meeting minutes were approved as written. Treasurer:

Treasurer: Henry McQueen—absent. The Club had a very good year financially. A budget summary will be in der Sprecher and also on the website. If you would like more information, please contact Henry. Committee budget requests should be forwarded to Henry before the February 2005 meeting for approval.

Membership: Jerry Reinhardt —working on a “welcome” package for new members and encourages them to attend a Board meeting to become familiar with club activities.

Newsletter Report/Website: Don Hollway—Great Job !!!

Social: Ed Eisenhart, Al Peinhardt, and Jerry Trone—Working on plans for a Pimlico Day at the Races scheduled for Sun., May 15, 2005. Details later. Also, looking for a location for the Holiday Dinner this year.

Tech: Scott Hoaglund—Checking on a fall date for event with Dennis Gilbert.

Autocross: Mark Bolt—absent.

Swap Meet: Steve Baun—absent. Pres. Curt reported that the committee for the Swap Meet will begin meeting to coordinate plans for the upcoming April event.

Vice President: Steve Baun—no report

Zone Rep: Jim Becker is our new Zone 2 Rep. He’s from the Pocono Region and is co-chairing the Hospitality Room for the Porsche Parade. We welcome him to attend our board meetings.

Other Business: Carl Thompson, local sponsorship chair for the Porsche Parade, gave a brief overview and plea for help in securing additional sponsors for the event.

Next meeting: February 1, 2005 at Liederkranz, 6:30pm for social, meeting at 7:00pm.
