Zone 2 Concours at Mt. Hope Winery

Great Show! Nice Venue! It was awesome! Very Cool! Very Nice Setup! I Loved it, Have it Every Year! These were just some of the comments that participants wrote in the comments section of their ballots for the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire (RenFaire) Zone 2 Charity Concours Sunday May 20, 2012.

Forty-two cars enjoyed a sun-filled day, along with the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire's Swashbuckler Grove with Beer Bar and a very well prepared and tasty lunch. The 'Grove,' as it is called, made for a very relaxing place to sit and enjoy the serenity of the castle walls, old store fronts along with the pirate ship, or to just look and dream about owning one the three brand new Porsches on display from Lancaster Autohaus. Many folks also stopped by the Wine shop to taste the wines and I personally saw more than one brown bag leaving the store that afternoon.

Most of all I believe it was the camaraderie and the sharing of the many, many car stories told that day that made it a very memorable day and one that our charity, Ronald McDonald House (RMHC) of Central PA will surely appreciate.

The RenFaire folks did an excellent job of hosting and directing the many visitors who came from all over the area to see our cars. Some estimates say there were between 700-800 visitors throughout the morning and afternoon.

Many thanks to Ray Forster of Autohaus Lancaster, Inc for his support.

Region members working the registration included: Michael & Margery McNulty, Dennis Majors, Daren Stonesifer, Dale & Jan Miller and Roseann Moore. Special thanks for Steve and Millie Blount from the RMHC of Central PA manning their booth. President Alan Pozner MC'ed the awards presentation and also posted photos at our Yahoo! Groups site.

Our thanks to Tom Zaffarano, our Zone 2 representative, for his support and his attendance as we got to spend time with old friends from Pocono and Riesentöter Regions.
